Kayla has completed over 100 tattoos and is continuing to grow her skills in fine line, shading and realism.
Meet Kayla
Meet Kayla, a talented tattoo artist who is learning the world of tattooing during her apprenticeship at Rose and Thorn under the guidance of Melinda Rose Tattoos.
Originally from Bundaberg, Kayla moved to Toowoomba after being accepted for her tattoo apprenticeship with Rose & Thorn in 2025.
Kayla has the biggest heart and puts her clients needs first. She is big on communication and taking her time to understand exactly what her clients need and want.
Kayla has completed her fine line aspect of her apprenticeship and is now working on shading and realism as well as designs and efficiency.

Apprenticeships at Rose & Thorn Tattoo Studio
Every apprentice goes through a minimum of 2 years training (it is competency based so they will not qualify until they are producing high quality work & have a strong understanding of tattooing as well as complete confidence to tackle any tattoo).
